As a small law firm, we are also a small business; we have come to understand the needs of professionals and business owners. We can create an employment contract individually tailored to meet your business needs, as well as comply with the requirements of the state and federal law. In addition, we negotiate, draft, and review severance agreements and other employment agreements.
We can work with you on the creation of risk management tools, such as employee handbooks, that will help with sexual harassment lawsuit prevention. We will work to make certain that you have all the tools in place to ensure a successful business venture.
Interacting with the EEOC
Once discrimination allegations are filed against you, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will contact you. Typically, companies will be asked to provide certain documents pertaining to hiring and firing patterns, promotions, the ethnic make-up of the workplace, or other information deemed relevant. Companies usually have 30 days to respond. Our attorneys can review EEOC requests and counsel you in regard to how an EEOC inquiry or request should be responded to. We can ensure you comply with investigators while taking steps to protect your legal and financial interests.
